Magners Light In The Spotlight

The Brief: Build brand awareness and drive sales in the on-trade, raise the brand’s profile and reinforce the connection to the brand's fun side.

The Solution: The promotion consisted of 3 elements; a sampling activity, reward with purchase and a free prize draw.

 

Bars across Northern Ireland were visited by a party of promotional staff to conduct the sampling, with the star attraction of a life size pear for consumers to embrace.

After receiving a free sample, consumers were encourged to purchase a Magners Pear at the bar and were rewarded with a free stress pear. The promotional team also photographed consumers embracing the pear and their photos were then uploaded to the Magners Pear Facebook page.

A free prize draw offered on trade consumers and fans of the Magners Pear Facebook site, the opportunity to win a trip for 2 to Ibiza.

This promotion was communicated via POS in bars and online via Facebook. This was regularly updated with event dates and photos of consumers embracing the pear. 

Results: With 40 staffed promotional nights over a 5 week period, over 2000 consumers sampled the product and there were 1000 entries to the prize draw.
